The foot attachment is tall enough that you can use it alone as a lap blanket.
If you're looking for the ultimate "couch-to-camping" companion, this Xuqeru Wearable 4-in-1 Hoodie Blanket is a rare find that actually delivers on its modular promises. While many "as-seen-on-TV" wearable blankets feel flimsy, the mechanical integrity here is impressive; the zippers are high-quality and glide smoothly without snagging the plush sherpa lining. The attachment for the foot section is secure enough to handle tossing and turning without creating gaps, effectively turning a heavy-duty lounge jacket into a legitimate sleeping bag. It’s a grounded, well-built product that skips the gimmicks and focuses on solid seam strength and massive heat retention.
This wearable hoodie blanket is truly exceptional. The material is thick, plush, and incredibly soft without feeling heavy or restrictive. The oversized design allows for full range of motion while still keeping you completely wrapped in warmth. It feels extremely well-made, from the stitching to the lining, and the quality is immediately noticeable the moment you put it on.
What really sets this apart is the versatility. It functions beautifully as a lounge hoodie, lap blanket, travel wrap, or even a sleeping bag-style layer, so coverage amount is completely up to you. While this isn't much of a style item, it looks great in use. The construction feels durable and premium, and despite the price point, it absolutely justifies the cost in comfort and craftsmanship. It’s one of those rare items that exceeds expectations in both design and performance.
My wife wears oversized hoodie blankets constantly during the winter, so we decided to take a chance on the Bougie Buddy Hoodie, and it ended up being a really fun (and comfortable) upgrade. It’s super soft both inside and out and feels great to wear for long stretches. The hood is adjustable, which is perfect for anyone who likes to really tuck themselves in and hide from the cold.
The front zipper has been surprisingly useful. If it gets a little too warm but you don’t want to take the whole thing off, unzipping it partway works well for ventilation. The standout feature, though, is the sleeping bag attachment. We haven’t seen anything like this on other blanket hoodies we’ve tried. It uses the same soft material as the hoodie and zips on easily. The bottom also zips closed, making it feel very similar to a traditional sleeping bag, though she usually leaves it partially open to vent when needed.
The large front pocket is always a plus and gets plenty of use for holding books and her phone. While this is definitely on the higher end price-wise compared to other blanket hoodies, the cost makes sense given the unique sleeping bag attachment and overall design. It’s cozy, well thought out, and something she genuinely enjoys using.
The combination of this hoodie blanket and the adjoining sleeping bag is huge!!! When I first received it, I thought it was too big and was preparing to send it to my dad. But after I decided to unzip the hoodie from the bag, it didn't feel as excessive. That said, both ways are equally useful. When I need to walk around, I wear the oversize hoodie alone. When I'm snuggling up in my sofa, I use both. It'svery easy to zip or unzip to transition from one to the other. Funny thing is my sons love competing for who can fit into the bag with me.
The sherpa fleece polyester fabric is very soft and thick. Its just a really smooth and warming material.
This may be one of the better blankets I have seen. This is a heavy-duty, fleece feeling blanket that can give warmth in temperatures below freezing. Not only does it come with extension zippers and a hoodie, but you can actually use this as a sleeping bag and zip yourself up. It is versatile and can double as a blanket on your bed if you so wish. I don't think you can pick any other color than the dark grey, but it's ok, it's worth the warmth. The photos show models walking around town in these blankets, and I don't know if I would do that either, but if you're looking for a super strong cover for warmth, this is your item. I also believe it is worth the price point which some may think is high.
This arrived in a vacuum-sealed package, so I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect when we opened it. After letting it expand and giving it a try, I was pleasantly surprised by just how soft and cozy it is. The material feels really nice against the skin and has that warm, plush blanket feel you hope for with something like this.
I personally only had it for about 10 minutes before my son completely took it over and claimed it as his own. He loves anything soft, and this was an instant hit. It is a little big on him, but he doesn’t mind at all because of how soft and comfortable it is. He’s been wearing it around the house all day and doesn’t want to take it off.
It’s warm without feeling heavy, very comfortable, and clearly something that’s going to get a lot of use in our house. If you’re looking for something cozy that actually lives up to the “soft and warm” promise, this definitely does the job.
The Bougie Buddy is 100% polyester and is color safe so it can be washed in mixed loads, no bleach. We recommend cold water and medium heat. Due to the thickness of the material you may want to extend the drying time. It would be better to dry longer at medium heat than dry on high heat.
Pretty much. The Bougie Buddy is too large for most children or wearers under 48" tall and is generously sized for adults. The key hoodie dimensions are: sleeve from shoulder to cuff 22". Length shoulder to bottom hem 38". Width across the torso is 39" for a 78" circumference. The foot well itself is another 48". So as a sleeping bag it measures 86" without the hood, accommodating wearers as tall as 7'.
As a wearable blanket, you wear the hoodie top alone. The foot well, when unzipped from the hoodie top can be used as a lap blanket by most. The bottom zipper can be opened or left closed. To switch to sleeping bag mode, simply attach the top and bottom with the two-way zipper. You can open the zipper at the bottom of the foot well for ventilation if you get too warm. Likewise the 1/4 zip front can be opened or closed, and the hood drawstring loosened or tightened to adjust for comfort.
The foot well has a two way zipper at the top which mates to the bottom hem of the hoodie. There is another zipper at the bottom that allows for ventilation. You may also use top and bottom together as a sleeping bag without fastening the zipper. This is more convenient if getting up during the night, or to provide extra ventilation in warmer weather.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND WALKING AROUND WITH THE BOTTOM ATTACHED AS THE LENGTH PRESENTS A TRIP HAZARD.
The Bougie Buddy has not yet been laboratory certified for any temperature range. However our personal subjective experience is having sat outside in low 40F weather and felt perfectly warm, and slept in the same weather while camping. The velour surface of the Bougie Buddy also makes it convenient to add a blanket on top if desired without the blanket sliding off as with a slick nylon sleeping bag shell. We recommend personal testing at 50F and below.
We do all the time, at home and while camping in tents, RV, and also just sleeping in the car (early morning fishing trips IYKYK). If anything, you may find it too warm at room temps above 60F and will be glad for the extra zippers. This is when using the bottom and top together without closing the zipper can increase the comfort.
The torso length is 38", which may drag on the ground or be a trip hazard for anyone under 4' tall. However, a child could certainly use the top as a sleeping bag without the foot well attachment, and the foot well itself is 48" tall and could be a functional sleeping bag for a child.
The Bougie Buddy has one large front "kangaroo" pocket that is accessible from either side and runs through both sides.
The Bougie Buddy is not waterproof or water resistant. It can be used outdoors in dry conditions but even without rain any overnight dew or condensation would make the fabric damp. If sleeping under cover such as a lean-to, awning or tent it will stay dry. The velour exterior does not block wind so a bivy shell would be helpful.
Of course any tent that keeps out rain and wind will increase the comfort.
You may find a small amount of shrinkage from the very first trip through the laundry, but in general it retains its size and shape well. Our experience, which led us to select this particular fabric, is that the Bougie Buddy remains soft and cozy after many washings - judging by the first prototypes which have been washed more than 50 times and are still soft.
We have found a compression stuff sack to be the most convenient. Both top and bottom together will fit into a 30L sized sack, and compression straps used to reduce the bulk when storing and transporting. You should periodically unpack the Bougie Buddy to allow it to air out and be sure it is clean and fresh.
Alternatively, the top can be rolled up and stored in the foot well, then rolled up and secured with a bungee cord.
